A Resort On the Sea at Gales Point

Welcome to "The Shores," a new resort located on the sea approximately halfway between Belize city and Dangriga near the Creole Village of "Gales Point". We are situated in the middle of a hawks bill sea turtle nesting area. Our style and design is both pristine and harmonious with the surroundings. Our spacious lodge, and cozy cabanas offer airy comfortable rooms with private baths and excellent views of the ocean and sandy beaches.

We offer several miles of private beach to be explored. We also offer family style dining, both local and International dishes, with a full bar and large outdoor verandah while still maintaining the romance and seclusion of a deserted isle. Our close proximity to the Barrier Reef affords you many dive opportunities to choose from with exceptional coral and marine life in the shallow depths meaning longer leisurely dives.

Caves, holes, and wrecks as well as deep dives are available for the more experienced divers. Your typical dive day would include a morning dive followed by a picnic lunch and or a fish fry with snorkeling on a sandy isolated caye, followed by an afternoon dive. Our "in-house" dive instructor offers a full range of classes for both the new and advanced divers.

Our local fishing is world class. There are always plenty of thrills and fun on our fishing excursions. Our rivers and lagoons are home to a large variety of flora and fauna. Our favorite attraction is the Manatee. Although they are a docile mammal and quite bashful, they are usually plentiful and we get a good show on our Manatee Watch Tour. A number of large caves are easily accessible, many still containing evidence of being past homes of the ancient Mayas.

A slow drifting canoe trip down one of our local rivers puts you in the very heart of Belize's natural beauty. Our local staff and tour guides provide the best in Personalized Service to bring you the true Belize. You'll awaken each morning to the sounds of the sea as well as the parrots, yellow-bill jays and the kokricos of the rain forest.

 Accommodations, Rates, and Reservations

All rates quoted in $USD. A nonrefundable deposit of 25% is due within 10 days of booking; balance is due 30 day sprior to departure. A $20 change fee will be assessed after receipt of deposit. Cash, traveler's checks, VISA and MasterCard are accepted.

Room Rates

Includes accommodations, 3 meals per day & govt. hotel tax. Does not include: round trip airfare/transportation to/from Belize City, transfer to/from The Shores, beverages, personal expenses, 10% gratuity, and $15.00 Belize departure tax.
