What's the dating scene like in Belize? For singles traveling to Belize or even those in a relationship but looking, our country offers the chance of adventure and variety like few others. The only “gotcha” is that Belize has a small population and you might have to look a little bit harder for a date and romance, compared to say neighboring Honduras or Guatemala. The beauty of Belize however lies in the variety of cultures ranging from African, to Hispanic, to Lebanese, German, and endless admixtures thereof. Belize has a growing population of immigrants from Central America, mainly Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador so you will find many lovely Latinas here - this adds to the rich variety of cultures found in Belize.

Belizeans like to party and generally the partying starts on Thursday. Belize City offers the largest number of nightclubs and some of the best are The Bellevue, The Eden, Club Liquid, Copa Cabana and MJs on the Northside. MJs on the Southside is a little rough and not recomended for visitors. Our suggestion for visitors looking to party and mix with the locals is to hire a cab from your hotel for the night. The driver will be familiar with where to find the action you are looking for and be street wise. If you are looking to pick up a local date, any of the clubs mentioned above is a good place to start.

The music at these nightclubs is American and Caribbean influenced – Hip Hop, Dance Club and Latin Music. Most clubs are open until 3 in the morning.

The Princess Hotel and Casino offers a floor show most weekends. Other establishment features occassional floor shows featuring dancers from Central and South America. A new casino in the Corozal Free Zone also offers floor shows most nights.
